Working Principle of Laser Scanning Modules

A laser scanning module operates by projecting a laser beam from an internal source onto a mechanically actuated reflector; a vibrating motor then oscillates the reflector to sweep the laser point into a line across the barcode, after which the signal undergoes analog-to-digital (A-D) conversion. In contrast, red-light scanning modules typically utilize an LED light source and a CCD photosensitive element, relying on the conversion of optical signals into electrical signals.
