Product Introduction
A dot laser is normally used when a single, clearly defined reference point is required. It can mark a position on a workpiece, provide a target for an operator or serve as a light source in a sensor inside a sensor or measuring instrument.
Our visible dot laser modules are available in a range of housing sizes, from miniature brass modules to standard black aluminum housings. The smaller models are suitable for compact instruments and sensors. Larger housings allow more space for the driver circuit, cable connection and customized optical design.
Red wavelengths such as 635nm and 650nm are commonly used for general positioning. Green 520nm is easier to recognize in some working environments, especially when the operator needs to find the point quickly. The final choice still depends on the target surface, ambient light and working distance.
Some applications require a bright, highly visible spot. Others need a very small spot for sensing or measurement. For this reason, we do not recommend selecting a laser module based solely on wavelength or output power. The spot size at the actual working distance is usually more important.

Clear Reference Point
The module projects one concentrated point onto the target surface. It is suitable for applications where a line or cross pattern is not required.
Fixed or Adjustable Focus
Fixed-focus models are useful when the working distance will not change. Adjustable-focus models are more convenient for sample testing or equipment with different installation distances.
Small Housing Options
Miniature housings can be installed inside sensors, measuring tools and compact equipment. Standard industrial housings provide more space for the driver and cable.
Flexible Electrical Setup
Voltage, cable length, wiring sequence and connector can be confirmed before production. CW, APC and TTL configurations are available on selected models.

Product Details
The optical part determines the spot size and focus distance. We select or adjust the optics according to the target distance and the required spot.
The driver controls the laser output. The circuit can be configured according to the voltage and control method used in the customer's machine.
Brass is commonly used for small modules. Black aluminum housings are suitable for larger industrial products and provide more space for the internal components.
Cable length, connector type, and wiring configuration can be customized according to the customer's equipment drawing.
For adjustable-focus models, the focus is set after the laser is installed at the actual working distance. Fixed-focus products are adjusted during production according to the confirmed distance.

Quality Inspection
We check the product against the confirmed specification. Inspection items may include wavelength, output power, operating current, spot size, working distance, cable connection, housing dimensions and appearance.
Quality Commitment
Custom products are produced according to the approved specification sheet, drawing or sample. If the customer changes the working distance, spot size or voltage, the new requirement should be confirmed before mass production.
Project Support
For new equipment projects, we can first confirm the main parameters and prepare samples for optical and installation testing. After the sample is approved, the same specification can be used as the reference for batch production.
FAQ
Q: How do we choose between red and green dot lasers?
A: Red lasers are widely used for general positioning and usually offer more model options. Green lasers may be easier to see in some environments. Please also consider the target surface, ambient light and working distance.
Q: Can you make a smaller laser spot?
A: Yes. Please tell us the required spot size and the actual distance from the laser outlet to the target. We will check whether a standard model is suitable or whether the optics need to be adjusted.
Q: Should we order fixed focus or adjustable focus?
A: Fixed focus is suitable for equipment with a stable installation distance. Adjustable focus is useful for prototype testing or when the final installation distance is not yet fixed.
