Product Introduction
An adjustable focus dot laser is useful when one standard focus distance cannot cover the complete project. During equipment development, the final mounting position may still change. The laser can first be installed, then focused at the actual target distance.
The adjustment is normally made from the front optical section. By rotating the focus structure, the user can change the spot from blurred to clear. This gives more flexibility during prototype testing, equipment installation and maintenance.
Adjustable focus does not mean that one module will produce the same spot at every distance. The final result still depends on the wavelength, optical design, laser power and target surface. A model suitable for a short working distance may not be the right choice for a long-distance project.
We usually recommend adjustable-focus products for early testing or projects with several installation distances. Once the final working distance and spot requirement are confirmed, customers can continue using the adjustable version or change to a fixed-focus model for batch production.
Our current product range includes miniature brass modules and larger black aluminum housings. For example, the existing range includes compact Φ4×8mm and Φ6×20mm adjustable-focus dot laser modules, as well as Φ12-series products for industrial equipment.

When Adjustable Focus Is Useful
Prototype Development
During the first equipment test, the final mounting position may not be fixed. An adjustable module allows the engineer to test several distances without changing the laser each time.
On-Site Installation
Small differences in brackets, machine frames or target positions can affect the spot. The focus can be corrected after the module is installed.
Variable Working Distance
Some equipment works with targets at different positions. Adjustable focus gives the operator more room to set the spot for the current distance.
