Line Laser Modules: Definitions And Classification

Jul 10, 2026 Leave a message

As the name implies, a line laser module is a device capable of generating a linear laser beam. Based on their operating principles and application scenarios, line laser modules can be broadly categorized into two types: fixed-line modules and scanning-line modules. Fixed-line modules project the laser beam directly to form a distinct straight line, whereas scanning-line modules utilize optical components-such as cylindrical lenses or wave lenses-to generate a line of adjustable dimensions. Line laser light sources are widely used in visual inspection; when the laser is projected onto the object being inspected, it forms a straight line. The finer the laser linewidth, the higher the achievable inspection precision.
